Instead of it showing the books you are currently reading and Kobo recommendations, the home screen now defaults to your library. When you are completely logged out, your home screen will change. You can continue to have WIFI on, and this will allow you to continue to use the internet browser and receive future firmware updates. If you want to try out Sideload Mode and you already are logged into your Kobo account, you need to go to the settings menu and under accounts, log out. This cannot be further from the truth, sideload mode provides a number of key elements to make your Kobo e-reader much better for people who do not buy content from the Kobo Store or borrow ebooks from Overdrive.

The "Manage Series Information On Device" function in the utilities plugin is intended for books you don't have in the calibre library. But, if you that's how you want to organise the files, you can put the series into the save template in the driver and have calibre send the books there directly. That means the series info might not be updated.įor your original process, there isn't really a need to move the books into a separate folder. The other options will do it as well, but not for all the books, or only when sending a book. If you want the series info to be populated automatically, you need the metadata management option to be set to automatic.
